Insider Tips

Get there early – as early as possible. We recommend getting there between 9:00-10:00am to find a nice place in the sand and get a parking spot. If you get there after 12PM most of the prime sunbathing areas are taken and parking is more difficult. The beach fills up pretty fast.

Bring everything you’ll need for the day – food, drinks, sunscreen, beach towels, beach umbrella.

You can also buy food and drinks from the Sunset Ashram to enjoy on the beach but its a bit pricey. There’s also an umbrella guy who will stake an umbrella for you and help you find a place in the sand.

A good place to buy your grocery is Es Cuco which is on the way to the beach and just 10 minutes away (Calle 4 de Cala Comte, 07829 Sant Josep de sa Talaia, Islas Baleares, Spain
). Stop there on the way to the beach. They have an excellent supply of fresh bread and meat. They open at 8AM everyday except for Sundays when they open at 9AM.

Facilities: There are toilets and facilities in the back of the Sunset Ashram that you are allowed to use.

Expect to stay for the entire day and spend an amazing day on the beach and in the warm turquoise waters. Most people stay till sunset and on a clear day expect to see a memorable sunset.

Snorkeling is poor but the water is warm.

Flying your drone is prohibited over the beach.

Getting There

By Car: The easiest way to get there is by car. It’s about a 35 minute drive (25km) from Ibiza town.

Parking: Parking is pretty easy if you get there early enough there are several small dirt parking lots close to the beach and if those are full most people park on Carretera de Comte. If you arrive after 12PM expect it to be harder to find parking. DO NOT arrive close to Sunset as the parking situation gets ridiculous and cars get trapped in the narrow street leading to the beach. Its a nightmare – trust us !

Public Transportation: Public transportation is by bus on the ALSA L4 bus line.
