2024 Review: Giant Ibis Best Bus Company in Cambodia

Buses are some of the easist ways to get around Cambodia.

There are many private bus companies to chose from.

Without a doubt, the most reliable and safest company is –

Giant Ibis

Whatever bus route you take using Giant Ibis, expect to get to your destination safely.

But be advised, all buses in Cambodia are frequently late (even with Giant Ibis) so always prepare for that. The delays tend to be because of the roads than the busses themselves.

General Tips

Cost: Prices range from $10USD to $25USD.
Time: Varies

**Buy your Giant Ibis tickets ahead of time as popular routes sell out. Our Bus from Kampot to Phnom Penh was fully sold out over 1 week in advance. Even if tickets are sold out there are lots of no shows and last minute cancellations so you might be able to get on at the last minute at the ticketing office. Its always safer to plan ahead.**

**DO NOT expect any bus company to be on time. If you’re in a time crunch, change your plans. Buses DO NOT run on time in Cambodia.**

-Look for a direct trip without stops.

-Try to take early AM buses as they are more likely to be on time than evening buses.

-Try to avoid the last bus of the day as sometimes these can get cancelled and be extremely late.

-Watch your bags and belongings if there are any stops.

-Try to take buses during daylight as the roads are safer.
