The UPDATED 2024 Bali Fast Speed Boat & Ferry Guide and Ratings

Fast Speed Boats are the best and most reliable way to get to and from the islands surrounding Bali. If you are planning to go from Bali to Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Ceningan, Nusa Penida, Gili Trawangan (Gili T), Gili Meno, Gili Air and/or Lombok, fast boats are the best way to get around.

2024 Rating Criteria & Summary

We’ve gone ahead and rated the most popular Bali fast boat companies by reliability, timeliness, user experience, safety record, ease of use and value. The total score is out of 100 points. Our 2024 ratings – as is this site – are 100% free of bias and we do not allow sponsorship or anyone to influence our score. All boats were anonymously taken to come up with our 2024 ratings.

Here are some 2024 Insider Tips:
Watch Your Luggage:  Watch your luggage to make sure it is loaded on the fast boat and not unloaded at the wrong stop. Boats make multiple stops so make sure it gets tagged for the correct stop.
Motion Sickness Medicine:  The boats go pretty fast and the ride will be pretty bumpy. You WILL feel motion sickness so prepare in advance. THIS IS ESSENTIAL DO NOT FORGET IT ! This is by no means medical advice but you can:
-Take one 25mg Tablet of Meclizine the night before your trip
-Take One 25mg Tablet of Meclizine the morning of your trip.
You can buy 100 25mg tablets for ~$5US on Amazon:
Rugby Meclizine 25mg Travel Sickness 100ct on Amazon
Staying Dry  Some stops involve getting on and off the boats in up to knee deep water. Your luggage and electronics are at risk of getting wet. Try to pick a port that has piers or jettys to make it easier to get on and off the boat which should keep your stuff dry.
